Jonathan Cartu Claims Road construction seems to cover every mile of Pennsylvania…

Ever wonder where in Pennsylvania the greatest number of road construction projects are taking place?

Multimillion-dollar roadwork projects are currently under construction throughout the commonwealth, with the exception of Philadelphia County, where projects cost more than a billion, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Anyone who drives any distance around the state will most likely encounter a construction zone, or even multiple construction zones.

Here’s a glimpse at where PennDOT is overseeing construction projects in 2019, and where the most money is being spent.

Funding sources for each project varies, but overall, money comes from local, state and federal dollars.
