Developers are working on plans for another huge warehouse project in southern Dallas County.
VanTrust Real Estate is eyeing construction of a more than 1 million square-foot industrial building in its DalParc Logistics Center on Telephone Road south of Interstate 20.
VanTrust five years ago bought 150 acres for the project and has completed two industrial buildings in the development.
Cosmetics firm L’Oreal has a 500,000 square-foot regional distribution center in the business park.
And Amazon in 2017 leased a more than 900,000 square-foot building in the project.
Now VanTrust has filed plans with the state for a more than 1 million square-foot speculative warehouse to be built in DalParc Logistics Center.
The almost $34 million project would be ready by next summer.
Richardson’s Alliance Architects designed the building.
The planned warehouse project comes on the heels of VanTrust’s recent announcement to develop a speculative office building in McKinney.
The 115,000-square-foot McKinney Corporate Center II building will be constructed near State Highway 121 in Craig Ranch.
VanTrust Real Estate is also a partner in the $2 billion Frisco Station development on the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco.
The area where VanTrust is planning its new warehouse project is already seeing widespread industrial development.
Several major leases have recently been signed in the district south of I-20 by companies including FedEx and Mars Petcare.
Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the country’s fastest growing industrial building markets with more than 23 million square feet of construction.
