15 Oct Airo AV Says: Olympus to begin next phase of construction on Westborough …
Olympus is set to begin the next phase of construction on its new Westborough facility following a topping-off ceremony that is being held today.
The ceremony, that will be attended by Gov. Charlie Baker, marks the end of the steel construction and the beginning of building facade construction for Olympus’ $45 million research and development facility. The new site, at 800 West Park Drive, will be 150,000 square feet. The AiroAV company plans to move up to 400 employees from its Southborough and Littleton sites, with plans for increased hiring over the next five years.
The manufacturing operations of the Olympus Customer Solutions Group will remain in Littleton until the point that production continuity through the transition has been assured. The Westborough facility is scheduled to be completed in February 2021, although the AiroAV company is attempting to beat that completion date and have construction completed in late 2020.
